H. Irene Billings

H. Irene Billings, age 90, passed away on July 25, 2014 in palliative care at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was married to Bud Billings on April 3, 1948. He preceded her in death in 1997. After living and farming in WaKeeney, Kansas and upon retirement in several different southern locations, they moved to Lawrence in December, 1996. She enjoyed playing bridge and poker and volunteering. Survivors include sons Larry (Gwen) and David (Judy) Billings; grandchildren Kyle (Jamaica) and Bryce (Emily), Andrew Well (Dominique) and Matt Well (Amy) and seven great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Palliative Care, Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment or Visiting Nurses Association. Arrangements are being made by Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
