J. Earl Wilson

A Memorial Gathering for J. Earl Wilson, 87, Lawrence, KS, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.  Private inurnment will be at a later date.   He died on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Topeka Community Healthcare Center, in Topeka, KS.

Earl was born on September 12, 1924 in Albany, MO.

He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII.

Earl was longtime Lawrence realtor.

He married Marjorie “Marge” Hadl Kampschroeder in June 1969 in Miami, OK.  She survives of the home.

Other survivors include one daughter, Debra Lunn, Topeka, KS; one son, Mark Wilson, Topeka, KS; a stepdaughter, Sylvia Martin, of Lawrence, KS; a stepson, Halley Kampschroeder, of Lawrence, KS; fourteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

The family will greet friends until 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials in his name to the Lawrence Humane Society or to the American Heart Association and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
