Jane Underwood Baker

A Memorial Service for Jane Underwood Baker, 90, Lawrence, KS, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence, KS.  Jane passed away Friday, February 16, 2024, in Wichita, KS at her home.

Jane was born on September 9, 1933, in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of Prescott and Doris (Patterson) Underwood.

She married David P. Baker on August 3, 1957, in Lawrence.  He preceded her in death.

Jane is survived by her son, Mark and Kasey Baker, and son-in-law, Jay Pennick; grandchildren, Tyler and Kayla Pennick, Mequilla Baker, and Jakob Baker; great grandchildren, Piper Pennick and Teagan Pennick.

Jane was also preceded in death by her parents, Prescott Underwood and Doris Patterson Underwood, brother, Pete Underwood, sister, Sarah Underwood Black, and daughter, Laura Baker Pennick.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jane’s name to the Rotary International Foundation and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13 ^th Street, Lawrence, KS  66044.
