Jay Dee Dolan, Jr.

Funeral services for Jay Dee Dolan, Jr, 41, Lawrence will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2015 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. He passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Jay was born May 30, 1973 in Lawrence the son of Jay Dee Dolan and Candace Marie (James) Dolan.

He worked at Hallmark Cards, Inc. as a forklift operator in the warehouse for 22 years.

He enjoyed playing Texas Hold’em Poker, he enjoyed watching sports, especially the St. Louis Rams and KU basketball.

Survivors include his mother, Candace and stepfather, Rick Thompson; grandparents Pete and Mary James; goddaughter, Raven Rolland; stepbrother, Anthony (Kristi) Thompson; niece, Laci; and his Hallmark family. He was preceded in death by his father, Jay.

The family will greet friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 12th at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Raven Rolland Education Fund and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
