Jeanette was active in her faith. She served on the RCIA team at Corpus Christi. She volunteered in the “Mother to Mother” program for Catholic Charities. She worked with troubled kids outside the classroom. She volunteered for various other faith related activities in the numerous dioceses she lived in during her lifetime. She provided a positive display of her faith and made active efforts to recruit new Catholics through her long years of service in widely varying secular settings.

Jeanette was a lifelong educator. She earned four college degrees culminating in an Education Specialist Degree from George Washington University. She taught in numerous schools across our nation and at every level through grade 12. She earned distinction in a competitive process that awarded her merit pay as an outstanding teacher in the Fairfax County Virginia Public School System (FCPS). She retired from FCPS in 1991 where she was serving as a Special Education Administrator.

Jeanette was a military spouse. She followed her husband to duty assignments across our nation. She quietly and patiently adapted to the requirements of the military and the various places she lived. She was well versed in our nation’s history, geography and demographics having visited many of our country’s museums, parks, and historical attractions.

Jeanette was a kind, caring, and loving companion and wife, self-assured, and soft spoken. If a project to help others needed doing, she was the one to call. Her quiet demeanor hid a very strong-willed individual dedicated to making a positive contribution to the numerous endeavors she undertook. Jeanette’s humility, sense of humor and honest way of approaching life will be sorely missed.
