Memorial service for Jeffrey “Jeff” M. Clark, 50, Lawrence will be held 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Lawrence Free Methodist Church. Burial took place in the German Protestant Cemetery in Waldoboro, Maine.
Jeff was born on September 18, 1960 in Fort Knox, Kentucky the son of 1/Lt. James and Barbara (Mullen) Clark.
He spent his early childhood in Germany; Fort Still, Oklahoma; Fort Bliss, Texas; Framingham, Massachusetts; Dugway, Utah; Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and DeRidder, Louisiana. In 1975 the family moved to Waldoboro, Maine where he attended and graduated from Medomak Valley High School. He also attended the University of Maine at Farmington. He was directly involved with construction and architecture while working for the Portland Design Team in Portland, Maine. He attended the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture at Taliesin in Spring Green, Wisconsin where he met his future wife Cathy (Briel) Clark. They married in Friendship, Maine in 1990 and then moved to Lawrence, Kansas.
Jeff owned and operated Clark Inspection Service. He was a member of NRA, The Lawrence Sertoma Club and The Board of Realtors.
Survivors include one son, Alexander Clark, Fayetteville, Arkansas; one sister, Gina Clark, Santa Monica, California; his father, James Clark, Waldoboro, Maine; former wife, Cathy Clark, Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara, and a brother, David Clark.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the National Marfan Foundation and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
