Jimmy Leflore

Funeral services for Jimmy Lee LeFlore, 64, Lawrence, KS, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.  He died on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at his home.

Jimmy was born on May 15, 1948 in Moyers, OK, the son of Herman & Mary (Jones) LeFlore.

He served his country in the U.S. Army.

He was a College Resident Assistant Supervisor for Haskell Indian Nations University and retired in 2003.

He married Wanda Jimboy on November 6, 1968 in Kansas City, MO.  She survives of the home.

Other survivors include four daughters, Kimberly LeFlore, Kayla LeFlore, Cassandra LeFlore, Victoria LeFlore; one son, Truman LeFlore all of Lawrence; one granddaughter, Kaleigh LeFlore; two sisters, Ruth Moore, McAlester, OK, Jennifer Beckman, Tulsa, OK; one brother, Thomas LeFlore, McAlester, OK; nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials in his name to the Lawrence Indian United Methodist Church and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
