Joan Hoover

Services for Joan Hoover, 94, Lawrence will be at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.

She was born October 18, 1931, in Buffalo, MO the daughter of Irvin P. and Faye L. McDaniel Hill.

She worked for the Credit Bureau for 13 years. She was President of Credit Women’s International.

She married Everett Hoover on September 17, 1949, in Buffalo, MO. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2004. She is survived by two sons, David Hoover and Bruce Hoover of Lawrence, and three grandchildren, Jeremiah Hoover, Neil Hoover and Sean Hoover. She was preceded by two brothers, Philip Hill and Dennis Hill, and sister, Mary Low Grower.

The family suggests memorials to the Visiting Nurses and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
