A Celebration of Life for Jocelyn Ann “Lyn” Hewitt, 88, Lawrence, will be held at a later date with Inurnment in Memorial Park. She died Thursday October 30, 2014 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Lyn was born December 8, 1925, in Michigan, the daughter of Howard John “Mike” and Della (Waybrandt) Rudd. She worked at Lawrence Memorial Hospital for 14 years and for Asthma, Allergy and Rheumatology for 20 years before retiring in 1995.

They lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan, until Dick’s graduation and then lived in western New York until their move to Lawrence in 1965.

Lyn was an avid golfer, skier, gardener and quilter. She made quilts for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and also made dozen of dolls which her granddaughters enjoyed on every visit. She and Dick enjoyed traveling, especially their bi-annual trips to Hawaii, their summer and winter days at their cabin in Colorado’s Fraser Valley and visiting family and friends across the United States.
