John Gordon Seetin

Graveside services for John Gordon Seetin, 72, of Lawrence, KS will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence, KS. John passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Western Plain Medical Complex in Dodge City, KS.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 ~ 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence, KS.

John was born on August 31, 1948, in, Holyoke, MA, the son of Samuel Edward and Janice (Eliot) Seetin. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, 1969. Honorable discharge, SP4 – E4, parachute medal, combative infantry badge, bronze star, air medal, Vietnam service/campaign medal. He was a KC Royals and Chiefs fan.

John was a Lab Chemist for Farmland Industries in Lawrence, KS for 25 years.

Survivors include his sons; John T. (Susan Lee) Seetin, Robert D. (Julie Chin) Seetin, Samuel (Tara) Seetin, brother, Samuel Seetin, sister, Susie Dietrich, three grandchildren; Sierra, Lily Ann, and Isiah. Ex-spouse Nancy Copp.

John was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen Seetin, and daughter, Michelle Seetin.
