Minnie Juanita Morris

Funeral services for Minnie Juanita Morris, 88, Lawrence will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum in Lawrence. She passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at her home.

Juanita was born August 17, 1926 in Denning, AR the daughter of Benjamin and Tempe (Pool) Nichols.

She was a homemaker.

She married George Roy Morris on April 22, 1944 in Ozark, AR. He preceded her in death June 10, 2011.

Survivors include three daughters, Onita Myer and husband, John, Lawrence, Mary Kathryn Morris and husband, Bruce N. Humphreys, Overland Park, Annette Evans and husband, Greg, Lawrence; three grandsons, Robert C. Mugridge, Jr., Benjamin Roy Mugridge and wife, Carrie, Jakeb M. Evans and wife, Tammy; one great granddaughter, Madilyn Amy Mugridge; one great grandson, Dalton Roy Mugridge; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Raymond; and one sister, Alyene Ready.

The family will greet friends from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2015 at the mortuary.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Douglas County Hospice and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
