Karen Reiling

Funeral services for Karen V. Reiling, 63, Lawrence, KS, will be 4 p.m. Friday,
April 17, 2009 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence, KS.  Later services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2009 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Utica, NE.  Interment will be in Utica Cemetery in Utica, Nebraska. Ms. Reiling died on April 13, 2009 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born on February 5, 1946 in York, NE the daughter of Walter H. and Emelia Scherer Reiling.  She moved to Lawrence from Nebraska in 1994.

Ms. Reiling worked as a housekeeper for Best Western in Lawrence, retiring in October 2008.  She was a former member of the Rural Youth in Lincoln, NE.

Survivors include two brothers Marlin, and wife, Carol Reiling, Lake Worth , FL, Ken, Lawrence; one sister-in-law, Nancy Reiling, Lawrence; four nieces, Heidi Reiling, Kelly Reiling-Ulinskas, Tina Reiling, Lisa Reiling-Hopkins; and one nephew, Scott Reiling.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Trinity Lutheran Church (Lawrence) or to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (Nebraska) and sent in care of the mortuary.

The family will greet friends from 3-4 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.  The family will greet friends from 1-2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
