Kathryn Ruth Risk

There will be no services at this time for Kathryn Ruth Risk, 103, Lawrence. She passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor.

Kathryn was born April 22, 1914 in Lewis County, Missouri the daughter of Thomas M. and Mary Margaret (Gaines) Risk.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell E. Risk and son, Tommy. She is survived by daughters, Peggy Hulteen (Bob), Rossville, KS and Janiece Scribner (Joe), Lawrence, KS; daughter-in-law, Janie Risk (Tom), Littleton, CO; four granddaughters, Jana Viano (Terry), IL, Jacque Pietsch (John) TX, Sunny Sheppard (Stephan), TX and Shelly Golgart (Chris Marcilliott), CO; ten great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Kathryn bequeathed her body to the KU Med School.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Good Samaritan Fund at Presbyterian Manor or Presbyterian Manor Resident Council Employee Christmas Fund and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
