Kevin was born on February 24, 1963, in Wichita, KS, the son of Ray and Sherry (Compton) Coppenbarger.

He married Theresa Swisher on February 17, 1990, in Wichita, KS. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his father, Ray Coppenbarger; son, Dr. Adam Coppenbarger; and sisters, Kim (Brian) Sipes, and Kerrie (Brian) Hensley.

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Sherry Coppenbarger.
