Kimbel “Kimi” Lindsey Kramer

d. August 17, 2021

Kimbel “Kimi” Lindsey Kramer, 26, Kansas City, Missouri passed away on August 17, 2021, at her home after a life-long battle with mental illness.

She was born July 21, 1995, in Lawrence, KS the daughter of Kris Kramer and Lisa Pulliam.

She graduated from Free State High School in Lawrence in 2013, after spending her earlier years in the gym mastering competitive power tumbling and cheerleading, she went to countless competitions throughout the country. She didn’t half-do anything, she was fully committed to everything that she tried. She will be forever known as “Kimbel the Cake Lady”, for using herself-taught talents as a Pastry Chef and all-around food artist. She had the ability to combine a variety of ingredients to create delicious works of art. She was currently working as a sous chef at The Campground in Kansas City with her partner, Dallas. Her kindness and generosity was especially seen when she recently helped prepare 1000+ meals for frontline healthcare workers and the houseless throughout the pandemic. This is where her heart truly was – helping others. She was political and social aware. She was eternally a voice for those who didn’t have one. As a true activist, she fought for the good in the world. She was artistic and creative and could make art out of anything. Her most recent venture was upcycling used, trashed furniture into gorgeous new pieces. She loved to sing and garden. She especially loved animals and would always stop to pet a dog. Her pets were her world, she would make everyone’s day with her videos of Elliott hopping up the stairs back home. She loved fiercely and was vocal when it came to the wellbeing of her loved ones. She was never afraid of new or unfamiliar territory. She was always there for those who needed it and once you were a friend you were in her heart forever. She will be missed by all whose hearts she touched.

She is survived by her parents, Lisa Pulliam and Kris (Mary) Kramer all of Lawrence; her life companion, Dallas Conway, their dogs, Elliott and Jane and cat Big Rhonda; her siblings Mitchell McCune, Dylan (Alyssa) Tyler and Jenna (Gage) McCune, her nephews, London and Grayson Winkleman, her aunt Cammie (Scott) Braden, as well as her Conway family, and her aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members throughout the country. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Audean & Clara May Kramer, maternal grandparents, Bob & Alice Pulliam, and maternal aunts, Stefanie and Terri Pullliam.

The family is planning a private burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Tonganoxie, KS. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kimbel’s name to Kimbel Kramer Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary 120 W. 13 th St. Lawrence, KS 66044 to be distributed to Kimbel’s dearest charities.
