Memorial service for Kirk Hinnergardt, 54, Pomona, KS will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
He passed away shortly after midnight on Friday, November 27, 2015, at the hospital in Ottawa, Kansas. He was born May 4, 1961, in Ness City, the son of Kenneth and Jeanetta Hinnergardt. He was a graduate of Dodge City High School and attended Dodge City Community College. After school he went to work for Diamond Roofing in Dodge City until moving to Eastern Kansas in 1994. In 1995 he went to work for Diamond Everley Roofing in Lawrence. He worked there until his passing. On January 11, 2012 Kirk met his future wife Rose Smith. On May 18, 2013, he married Rose in Bennett Springs, Missouri.
Kirk is survived by his wife Rose Hinnergardt, children Britanie Milleson and Nicholas Hinnergardt, his father Kenneth Hinnergardt and wife Judith, sister Kamala Hinnergardt and her partner Beth, 9 grandchildren and countless more family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Jeanetta Hinnergardt, grandparents Vic and Elsie Hinnergardt and Henry and Tillie Beltz.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, either potted plants or donations be made to one of the following: the Kansas Society for Children with Challenges or the Kirk’s Farm Fund.
