The memorial service for Lauraine Lizette (Clark) Mulally, 90, Lawrence, KS, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 16, 2010 at Plymouth Congregational Church (925 Vermont )in Lawrence.  She donated her body to the Kansas University Medical Center for research.  Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.  She died on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community.

She was born on February 8, 1920 in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of Cecil M. and Charlotte Tate Clark.

She graduated from Lawrence High School and attended the University of Kansas and majored in education.

Mrs. Mulally was a 50-year member of the Flower Club, 50-year member of Plymouth Congregational Church, where she played in the bell choir, and received her 50-year pin in 2007 with the Ladies Auxiliary.  She and her husband taught dancing at Babcock Place.  She was a founding sponsor of the National US Army Museum in 2002.  She was a volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Drive and a member of the Older Women’s League (OWL), Oldsters United for Responsible Service (OURS), and the Senior Center.

During her working years, she worked at Hallmark Cards and the Kansas Color Press.  She was the contact for her family genealogy, so she kept records and sent birthday and anniversary cards to relatives.

She was married to Charles R. “Dick” Mulally on March 7, 1943 in Lawrence after meeting at a USO dance.  They married a couple of weeks later.  He preceded her in death on December 12, 2001.

Survivors include one son, Alan R. and his wife, Nicki Mulally, of Dearborn, MI; three daughters: Laura J. Kampschroeder and husband, Larry, Lenexa, KS; Rose A. Heape and husband, Ron of Lawrence, and Maureen E. Mulally of Lawrence; thirteen grandchildren, Chris, Tim, Molly, Amanda, and Peter Mulally; Kirt and Koby Kampschroeder; Ryan Heape, Jenna Mulally, and Allison Heape; Shabrie and Cambria Perico, and Avery Mulally; and five great grandchildren, Sydney, Kelsey, Claire, Caroline, and Andrew Kampschroeder; one brother, Tate Clark (age 96), Kerrville, TX.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Evangeline Clark.

Memorial contributions may be made to Plymouth Congregational Church, the Lawrence Community Theatre or to the Lawrence Arts Center and sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
