Memorial Mass for Leo John Nau, 75, Lawrence, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. Leo passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 at his home.

Leo was born November 21, 1943 in Worthington, MN, the son of John W. and Jeneva M. (Marsh) Nau.

He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence. He was a life member of Council #1372 Knights of Columbus. He was involved with R.E.A.C.H (Religious Education Activities for Community Handicap) for 24 years.

Leo was always volunteering for different organizations in the community.

He was an Accountant and office manager at Lawrence Freight Line and BC & R Storage Company.

He married Mary Kilker on December 28, 1963 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Worthington, MN. She preceded him in death

Survivors include his daughter, Laura L. Anderson; son, Thomas J. (Cindy) Nau; six grandchildren, Patrick J. (Nicole) Anderson, Jennifer L. (Jesse) Calderwood, Brianna L. (Tyler Becker) Anderson, Jessica L. Nau, Christopher J. Nau, Katelyn M. J. Nau; four great grandchildren, Ceara C. Anderson, Tara N. Anderson, Lucas J. Anderson, Caroline R. Calderwood and twin great grandsons on the way (Calderwood); five brothers, Phillip (Jan) Nau, Francis Nau, Leonard (Sue) Nau, Douglas (Lori) Nau, Steven (Mark) Nau; and three sisters, Joyce Mormann, Loretta (Ed) Smith, and Linda (Mark) Ruehle. He was also preceded in death by one son, Russell W. Nau; and sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Lynn Davis; and brother-in-law, Joe Mormann.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brewster, MN and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13 th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at the church.
