Leota Auld

Private burial services for Leota Delores Auld, 97, Eudora, will be held at Madura Cemetery, Clay County, KS at a later date.  She died July 21, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.  She lived at Drury Place for seven years.

She was born March 4, 1912, in Oklahoma City, OK, the daughter of James and Agnes (Foster) Harrell.

Leota attended Emporia State College.  She was a teacher in the Geary County School System for many years.  She was a member of the Methodist Church.

She married James Erichsen Auld on August 7, 1939, in Cottonwood Falls, KS.  He preceded her in death on May, 13, 1995.

Survivors include a daughter, Doris L. Darnell, Lawrence; two sons, James H. Manhattan, KS and Glenn A., Springfield, MO; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association and sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
