Linda King

Funeral service for Linda Sue King, 53, Lawrence will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2013 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lawrence.  She died April 12, 2013 at Baldwin Healthcare and Rehab.

She was born on July 24, 1959 in Lawrence, KS the daughter of John H. and LaJean  (McKissack) King.

She was a member of St. Luke A.M.E.

Survivors include her parents, Lawrence; sister, Kathleen Alvoid and husband, Greg, Olathe; brothers, Harvey King and wife, Juanita, Karl King and wife, Nancy, all of Lawrence; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Carrie and Ulysses McKissasck and fraternal grandparents, Elder Silas and Flossie King.

The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Special Olympics or Cottonwood Inc. of Lawrence and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
