Lois D. Wustefeld, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, at the age of 95.

Born on May 14, 1930, in Greeley, Kansas, Lois moved to Lawrence in 1941, making it her lifelong home. For over 45 years, she dedicated her professional life to B.A. Green Construction, where she served as an Office Manager.

Lois was a devout Catholic who truly dedicated her life to her faith. Her love for Our Blessed Mother and her Catholic community was evident to all who knew her. She embarked on numerous spiritual journeys, traveling to many places to study and worship her Lord. She cherished her role serving as a Eucharistic Minister at St. John's Catholic Church. She found immense solace and joy in silent meditation with the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, touching countless hearts along her spiritual path.

Beyond her deep faith, Lois embraced a variety of interests. She found joy in gardening, flowers, backyard birds, her morning newspaper and coffee, traveling, golfing, reading, and painting. Her genuine and pure smile, coupled with her inherent dignity and grace, left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Emma Wustefeld, and her brothers, Robert A. Wustefeld and Maurice A. Wustefeld. She is survived by her brother, Richard C. Wustefeld; her nephew, Robert A. Wustefeld (Rechelle); and her niece, Mary J. Zorn (Michael); Four Great Nieces and Nephew, Eight Great-Great Nieces & Nephews.

A Rosary Recital will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday, June 21, 2025, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. John's Catholic Church, 1234 Kentucky Street, Lawrence, Kansas, 66044. A procession and burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Baldwin City.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lois' name may be made to Conception Abbey or Capuchin Province of Mid-America.
