Marguerite Johnson

Graveside service for Marguerite Elinor Johnson, 91, Saratoga Springs, New York will be held 4:00 p.m., October 31, 2011 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lawrence, KS.  A brief gathering will be held prior to the service at 3:30 p.m. at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Mrs. Johnson passed October 25, 2011 at Maplewood Manor in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Marguerite was born on February 15, 1920 in Lawrence, Kansas the daughter of Otto and Vera (Pringle) Hunzicker.  She married Wayne Richard Johnson on August 14, 1943 in Lawrence.  He preceded her in death on February 12, 2006.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Johnson and wife, Rosa, Saratoga Springs, New York and Steven Johnson, Los Gatos, California; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Alzheimer’s Association ( www.alz.org ) and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
