A memorial service for Maria “Rachel” Gama, 39 will be held on Saturday at St. Johns.
She was born December 20, 1970 in Santa Barbara, California. She was granted her angel wings on January 19, 2010.
She is survived by her parents, Jose Leonardo Mireles & Elsie Rodriguez, three daughters, Elsie Irene Gama; Gloria Fernanda Gama; and Sulema Gama all of East Palo Alto, CA; sister Mirelda Mireles, Topeka, KS; brother, Vincent Mireles, Lawrence, KS; ex-husband, Fernando Gama, East Palo Alto, CA; her companion, Daniel Hernandez; of Lawrence, KS; aunts & uncles, Natalie & Francisco Estrada, Lawrence, KS; Rose & Mark Bunton, No. Carolina; Joseph M. Rodriguez, CA; 10 cousins, 11 nieces & nephews; her best friend, Blanca Vazquez of East Palo Alto, CA. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lupe.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
