Marilyn Davison Grant

A Visitation for Marilyn Jean Grant, 69, Lawrence will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. She passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at her home.

Marilyn was born on July 19, 1948 in Lawrence, KS the daughter of Elvin E. and Elaine L. (Marsell) Davison.

She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 35 years as an operator as well as several other positions within the company.

She was a member of Eagles and VFW. She loved to going to Hawk Talk with her friends and enjoyed scrapbooking, bowling, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She married Dr. David J.W. Grant and he preceded her in death December 9, 2005.

Survivors include her mother, Elaine Davison, Lawrence; two daughters, Virginia (Jeff) Sims, Jefferson City, Lori (Randy) Stanley, Lawrence; three grandchildren; Dara Sailler, Melissa Eye, Rebecca Mole four great grandchildren, Peyton, Klaire, Kai, Hartley; sister, Jennifer (Darrell) Hathaway, Overbrook, KS; and brother, Tom Davison, Lawrence, KS.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to David J.W. Grant and Marilyn J.
