Martha “Marty” Ann Strait

Martha “Marty” Ann Strait of Lawrence, Kansas passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.

Marty was born March 23, 1948 in Hutchinson, KS the daughter of George G. and Loraine (Chrisman) Dwyer.

She married Ronald “Ron” Strait January 20, 1968 in Hutchinson. He survives of the home.

She attended Emporia State where she received her Master’s in Education.

She was a school teacher for 36 years at USD 343 in Perry, KS until she retired in 2012.

Other survivors include one daughter, Catherine Flynn (Paul), Lawrence; one son, Jason Strait (Tricia DeGraff), Kansas City, MO; three grandchildren; and one brother, Jim Dwyer.

No formal memorial is planned but private family services will be held at a later date and time
