Funeral Services for Marvel "JoAnn" Becker, 90, Eudora will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel. Burial will follow at the Eudora City Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6- 8 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2026 at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel. JoAnn passed away on September 7, 2026, at Cedarhurst in Lawrence.
JoAnn was born on January 29, 1936, in Holton, KS, the daughter of Ernest Verne and Rachel (Cannon) Moore.
She worked for the City of Eudora for 30 years, retiring as the City Clerk in 1998.
She was a member of the Eudora United Methodist Church, where she volunteered for many activities, and was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
She enjoyed cooking and was well known for her apple pies. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
She married Robert “Bob” Becker on March 20, 1955, in Holton, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Karen Harshaw.
Survivors include four sons, David (Cheryl) Becker, John (Pam) Becker, Michael (Deborah) Becker, James (Diane) Becker; her brother Ronald Moore; grandchildren Jill (David Ross) Becker, Brett Becker, Jaime (Ryan) Cochrane, Kelly (Mark) Gerber, Kristen (Jordan) Kircher, Ethan (Courtney) Becker, Lucas Becker, Nickolas Becker, Nicholas Becker, Kim (Jason) Johannes and nine great grandchildren and special friend, Galen Kabance.
The family suggests memorials in JoAnn’s name to Eudora United Methodist Church and may be sent in care of the mortuary
