Marvin Dean Gibbs, Sr.

Memorial Visitation for Marvin Dean Gibbs, Sr. “Dirty Old Man”, 72, Lawrence and will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel in Eudora. Inurnment will follow at Eudora Cemetery.

He died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 4, 1942 in Horton, KS the son of Edmond Joseph and Viola Elizabeth (Richards) Gibbs.

He was a truck driver.

Survivors include his partner, Donna Wilson; two daughters, Penny Miller, Wendy Brewer, both of Lawrence; two sons, Charles Wilson, Lawrence, Marvin Dean Gibbs, Jr. “Bip”, Arizona; many grandchildren; and great grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Jennie Gibbs, Alice Jane Gibbs; and two brothers, Raymond Ralph Gibbs, and Gordon Gary Gibbs. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Helen Elizabeth Gibbs; and five brothers, LeRoy Robert Gibbs, Harlene Leslie Gibbs, John Edmon Gibbs, Eldon Eugene Gibbs, and Charles Hebert Gibbs.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Lung Association and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
