Mary E. Runyon

Funeral services for Mary E. Runyon, 95, Lawrence, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 4, 2016 at Lawrence Free Methodist Church. Burial will be at a later date. She died Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 13, 1920 in Ogden, IA the daughter of Ira and Olive (Katley) Earll.

She lived in Lawrence since 1984.

She was a homemaker.

She married James William Runyon April 5, 1944 in Boone County, IA. He preceded her in death December 22, 2012.

Survivors include her daughter, DeVonna Oehlert and husband, John; son, Leslyn (Karen) Runyon, Hutchinson, KS; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and three sisters, Lulubel Kelley, Chanute, KS, Ina Runyon, Blue Earth, MN, and Rosie Hacklander, Blue Earth, MN. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Alice Kelley.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Lawrence Free Methodist – Awana and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
