Mary was born August 19, 1933 in Borger, TX, the daughter of Leonard S. and Opal W. (Epley) Johnson.

She was a member of the Bridgepoint Community Church in Lawrence.

She was a Clinical Social Worker for Kansas Social & Rehabilitation Services.

She married Harold O. McLees on January 8, 1976 in Lawrence, KS. He preceded her in death February 14, 1997.

Survivors include her sons, Mike McLees, Danny McLees, Joseph McLees, Arthur Parker, Mark Parker; daughters, Lydia Wasserstein, Cathy Hadley, Ann Martin, Debbie McLees; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and brother, John M. Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Paul Johnson in 1985.
