Private graveside services for Max LeRoy Dougherty, 80, Lawrence were held at Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City, KS. He passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Max was born September 1, 1934 in Ottawa, KS the son of John and Velora (Babe) Dougherty.
He served his country in the United States Marines from 1954 – 1957.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He was a machine maintenance specialist at DuPont until he retired in 2000.
Survivors include his significant other, Vera Cole; one daughter, Laura Huggins; one son, Jeff Dougherty; five grandsons; one great granddaughter and one brother, Bob Dougherty.
