Micheal “Tom” Bray

Memorial services for Michael “Tom” Thomas Bray, 75, Lawrence will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday August 2, 2009 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.  He died July 29, 2009 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 19, 1934 in Kansas City, Kansas the son of Elmer Homer Bray II and Mary Lankford.

He was a farmer and carpenter and retired in 1992.

He married Bertie Cox on January 21, 1961 in Holiday, Kansas.  She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter Robin Abram-Nowak and her husband, Kerry of Lawrence; one son, Michael Robert and his wife Sherri of Lawrence; one brother, James Bray of Linwood, KS; one sister, Felma Casey of Missouri; five grandchildren, Jakob Abram, Kacey Abram, Zayne Nowak, Makayla & Jerrett Bray.

The family will greet friends following the service until 5:00 p.m.

The family suggests memorials in his name to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Oncology Department and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
