Mildred Ann Barton Fender

Mildred Ann Barton Fender, 96, Lawrence, KS and Russell, KS, died peacefully in her sleep at home on June 17, 2014.

Mildred was born in Chattanooga, TN in 1918. She spent her early years in Bowling Green, KY then moved to Russell, KS with her husband, now deceased, Allen T. Fender. Her later years were spent near family in Lawrence, KS.

Mildred was proceeded in death by her parents; two brothers, Rudy and Bart; her husband, Allen T. Fender; and son, Allen T. Fender, Jr. She leaves behind a daughter, Patricia Ann of the home; James D. of Russell, KS; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

There will be a private family service at a later date.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Visiting Nurses and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13 ^th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
