Graveside services for Millie M. Brown, 72, Baldwin, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. She died Friday, September 6, 2013 at her home.
Millie was born September 14, 1940 in Winchester, Kansas the daughter of Quinter James and Dorothy M. (Ray) Brown.
She married Carl Leslie McMechan on May 15, 1960. He died in 1988. Her son, Tony E. McMechan also preceded her in death in 2009.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda M. Flory and husband, Chris of Baldwin; two sons, Carl W. McMechan, Oskaloosa and Terry D. McMechan, Baldwin; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters.
The family suggests memorials in her name to Visiting Nurses Hospice, LMH Endowment “Catch a Break” or to Cottonwood Inc. and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
