Nancy Annette Julia Krische

Mass of Christian Burial for Nancy Annette Julia Krische, 54, Lawrence will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015 at St. Lawrence Catholic Center. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lawrence. Nancy passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at her home.

Nancy was born April 25, 1961 in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of George Robert and Donna Mae (Wehmeier) Krische.

She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1979. She attended the University of Kansas where she received her Bachelor’s degree.

She was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Center, Daughters of Isabella and was a definitive member and consecrated virgin of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity. She also sang in the Choir and was a Cantor at St. Lawrence Catholic Center.

Nancy was the Administrative Assistant for the St. Lawrence Catholic Center. It was a great joy to Nancy to work at the St. Lawrence Center. She performed many functions there, from event coordination to teaching classes on the faith. She loved working with people and for the church where her outgoing personality and love for God and others shone through.

She is survived by her mother, Donna Krische; brothers, Thomas Krische, Edwardsville, KS, Daniel (Jeanne) Longmont, CO, Robert (Deb), Overbrook, KS; sister, Susan (Dan) Fogo, Lakewood, CO; many nieces and nephews; Brian, Catherine, Matthew, James, Theresa, Vincent, Michael, Elizabeth, Laura, Amy, Matthew, Lisa, Br. Andrew, Josephine, Luke, Nathan, and Veronica. She was preceded in death by her father, George Robert Krische; and sister, Linda Heiman and her husband, George; as well as her nephew and niece Joseph and Mary Krische.

The family will greet friends at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015 with a Rosary to follow at 7 p.m. at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the St. Lawrence Catholic Center and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
