They were snowbirds for 23 years spending winters in North Fort Myers and summers at their home, “Hilltop,” south of Binghamton, NY, where Nancy had spent time as a young child. She spent her final years at the Presbyterian Manor in Lawrence, Kansas with wonderful new friends and terrific staff.  Douglas County Visiting Nurses, Rehabilitation and Hospice Care took care of Nancy for several months.  The family suggests memorials in her name to any hospice organization and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

She was an active member of Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, PTA, Pi Beta Phi, and PEO. She was involved in her church community wherever they lived, especially the Prayer Shawl Ministry in Florida.  Nancy was one of the first volunteers of the Naperville Community Recycling Center.  She has touched so many lives along the way with her positive and caring attitude.  We will be forever thankful for the blessings she shared, of amazing love of her family and friends, and the incredible strength that she drew from our Lord, Jesus Christ.
