Oliver “Ollie” Lynn Ortiz

Funeral services for Oliver “Ollie” Lynn Ortiz, Infant son of Rob and Kaylen (Schmidt) Ortiz, Eudora will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel in Eudora. Burial will follow at Eudora Cemetery. He passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Oliver was born December 28, 2015 in Lawrence. He was a rainbow baby with the most amazing blue eyes who was loved by everyone, especially his family. He brought an unmeasurable amount of joy to everyone he met in his short 9 months.
Survivors include his parents, Rob and Kaylen Ortiz; Eudora; brother, Christopher Ortiz, of the home; maternal grandparents, Kendra and Scott Elliot, Pratt, KS and Dave and Michelle Schmidt, Pratt; paternal grandparents, Robert and Jamie Ortiz, Chanute, KS; great-aunt and uncle, Marv and Lisa Oller, Eudora, KS; maternal great grandparents, Dwayne and Karen Elliot, Cunningham, KS, Lorene Schmidt, Hutchinson, KS, Alice Kinsey, Mankato, KS; paternal great grandparents, Luis and Esther Ortiz, Chanute, KS, Thelma Irwin, Wellington, KS and a large extended family. The family will greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2016 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel.
In lieu of flower memorials may be made in his name to the Oliver “Ollie” Lynn Ortiz Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
