Ora Lee Simpson

Memorial services for Ora Lee Simpson, 72, Lawrence will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. She passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Ora was born September 15, 1943 in Pine Bluff, AR the daughter of Polk and Ethyl (Austin) Griffin.

She loved her family.

She worked at Hallmark Cards for 14 years until she retired.

Survivors include her son, Chiron Mumford, Jr.; sisters, JoAnn Austin, Cathy Austin; brothers, P.J. Griffin, Isaac Austin, Calvin Austin, Walter Austin, Frank Austin, John Austin; three grandchildren; Tyron Mumford, Jasper Mumford, Jordan Brown; and nephews, Marshall Jackson and James Jackson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Aaron Austin; and two sisters, Eliza Jackson Shepard, and Edna Austin.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Charity of Donor’s Choice and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
