Paul Darren Miller, 54, of Eudora, KS, passed away unexpectedly on August 20, 2026, in Oklahoma City, OK.

Paul was born on January 31st, 1972, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, KS, to Albert and Carolyn (Eder) Miller. He attended Eudora High School and graduated with the Class of 1990.

Paul was the life of the party. When Paul entered a room, it was never a quiet room. His larger than life personality, sense of humor, and love for his family and animals will be deeply missed by all who knew him. If we shared everything about Paul’s shenanigans, we would have a 10-page obituary.

Paul was never married, but he had plenty of children of his own, his dogs. Dale, Martha, Brenda, Cooper, Norma, and Eddie were more than pets; they were his family. Paul spent much of his life spoiling his nieces and nephews and making memories with those he loved. He especially enjoyed taking Cooper, Norma, and Eddie to Sonic for ice cream. He was also an avid Buffalo Bills fan and a lifelong Dale Earnhardt fan, with #3 always holding a special place in his heart. Paul was a regular at Chipotle, where he could often be found picking up a meal nearly every day.

Paul started his work life at Amarr Garage Doors and then spent many years at Tyson Foods before getting his CDL. Paul worked as a truck driver for most of his career, driving for Schneider, Midwest, and HIT. For approximately 10 years, he was an owner-operator of Cooper Trucking LLC.

Outside of trucking, Paul loved building derby cars and spending time at Rootown, his own unique chicken yard that was home to all kinds of animals, including dogs, goats, pigs, guineas, geese, turkeys, and ducks. Rootown was a reflection of Paul's personality, full of life, animals, and probably never a dull moment.

Paul is survived by his parents, Albert and Carolyn Miller of the home; his siblings, Kevin (Amy) Miller of Eudora, KS; Jody (Sean) Buchanan of Wichita, KS; Sharla (Matt) Oertel of Easton, KS; Tony (Stephanie) Miller of Eudora, KS; Joe Miller of Lawrence, KS; Katie (Brendan) Helm of Eudora, KS; and Jimmy Miller of Eudora, KS. He is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews, five great-nieces and great-nephews, and his longtime friend, Misty Elkins.

Paul was preceded in death by his dogs, Cooper & Ralph; his grandparents, John and Violet Miller and Joe and Agnes Eder; and his nephew, Derek Flakus.

Paul's dogs, Eddie and Norma, will continue to be loved and cared for by his family.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 3rd, at 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora.
