Paul R. Sloan

Paul R. Sloan age 83, born December 23, 1930 in Winona, MO to Harl T. and Goldie B. (Roberts) Sloan, died December 1 ^st , 2014 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He graduated from Liberty Memorial High School, in Lawrence, KS, 1948. He entered the Air Force and served in the Korean War. Upon returning to Lawrence he and his brother Howard started Sloan Brothers Drywall in 1951. Paul continued in drywall construction for over 30 years and built houses for over 15 years.

He married Zella “Frances” Moncrief June 29 ^th , 1957. They divorced February 16 ^th , 1990.

He is survived by two sons Brent Sloan, Trent Sloan, and grandson Matthew Sloan of Lawrence, KS. He is also survived by two younger brothers Howard Sloan and Kenneth Sloan of Lawrence, KS

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance from 5 to 8 pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1803 W. 6 ^th St., Lawrence, KS 66044, on Saturday, December 6 ^th , 2014. Bring pictures and/or stories of Paul to share. Private Inurnment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.
