Richard “Dick” Lee Monson

There will be private services held by his family for Richard Lee Monson, 75 of Lawrence, KS. He was called back to the presence of his Creator on September 21 ^st , 2018. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Dick was born on September 28 ^th , 1942 in Kewanee, IL and raised by Faith Whitmer and Kenny Monson.

He served in the United States Navy. Dick married the love of his life, Alicia, on December 27 ^th , 1997 in Galena, IL.

He is survived by his wife Alicia Monson; sons C.J. Monson, fiance Donielle; and Lee Monson, dauther-in-law Rudi Monson; grandchildren Logan Bee, Riv Garcia Faith, and Isaiah Richard Monson; aunt Bonnie; and his best friends Jim Martell and Jim Koch.
