Rickey “Rick” Lane Prosser

Rick Prosser (80) of Lawrence passed away at Lawrence Memorial Hospital Monday April 17.  He was born In Springfield, Missouri December 18, 1942.

Rick Graduated from Drury University, in Springfield and went on to have a 20-year career with AT&T.  In retirement he enjoyed Painting and Needlepoint.  He was an annual blue-ribbon winner at the Art is Ageless show at Presbyterian Manor and had a front-page Journal World story on his art and fight against cancer.

Rick was a loving, caring, and kind father and a devoted husband for 55 years.   He is survived by his wife Charlotte and brother Gary (Springfield); Daughter Liz and her children Thomas and Arie; Son, Chistopher and children Kileigh, Bethany, Kaylynn, Kainsley, and Kashton; Son David and daughter Aliha and Haley.

A visitation will be held Friday April 21, from 6 to 8pm at Warren McElwain 120 W.13 ^th Lawrence, Kansas.

A celebration of life will be held at the family home, on Saturday April 22, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm.

Rick had a special love for his dogs and would appreciate contributions to the Lawrence Humane society.
