Robert D. Zook

Memorial services for Robert D. Zook, 62, Lawrence will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Lawrence Wesleyan Church in Lawrence. Private family burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. He passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at his home.

Robert was born January 12, 1953 in Lawrence, KS the son of Everett Ronald and Mary Louise (Houghton) Zook.

He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1971. He then received his BA from the University of Kansas

He was in sales and marketing and was most recently the Administrator for the Kansas Board of Barbering.

He was a member of the Lawrence Wesleyan Church.

He married Amy Hill May 29, 1981 in Lawrence, KS. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Taylor (Melissa) Zook, Topeka; Sawyer Zook, Lawrence; one sister, Janice Cochrane, Lawrence; one brother, Ron Zook, Lawrence; mother-in-law, Sue Hill, Lawence; Tom and Robin Hill, Kansas City, KS; Becky Zook, Boerne, TX; Sally (Dan) Rork, Lawrence; nieces and nephews; Alex (Angela) Zook, Garrett Zook, Andrew Zook, David (Tiffany) Zook, TJ (Dawn) Zook; Brock Ferguson; Julie (Matt) Krische, Jodie (Ralley) Smith; great nieces and nephews, Mattie, Will, Zoe, Noah, Samuel, Levi, Tristan; many other aunt, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bill Zook and sister, Suzanne Ferguson.

The family will greet friends from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to benefit the youth programs of Lawrence Wesleyan Church and Rock Creek and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
