Ryan “Quick” Green

Ryan “Quick” LaVell Green, 48, Lawrence passed away December 8th in Butner, North Carolina.  Ryan “Quick” Green was born February 20, 1961, in Lawrence, KS the son of Darel L. Green and Freida (Kimball) Green.
Ryan graduated from Lawrence High School in 1979.  He was an avid sports enthusiast and participated in many athletic activities throughout his life.  He attended Tarkio College.
He is survived by daughter, Brianna (Green) Wehlage and husband, Dustin of Chanute, KS; his mother, Freida (Kimball) Green of Lawrence, KS; three brothers, Darren Green and wife, Joyce of Lawrence, KS, Shannon Green of Norton, KS, and Ben Borland of Lawrence, KS; one grandson, Maddox Wehlage, of Chanute, KS; grandmother, Evelyn (Walker) Kimball of Lawrence, KS and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Darel Green and a sister, Sherye.
The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.  Home going services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, December 18, 2009, at Ninth Street Baptist Church in Lawrence and officiated by Pastor Delmar White.  Final resting place will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society and sent in care of the funeral home.
