Rylan Hammack

It is with deep sorrow and unbelievable regret that the family announces the passing of Rylan Evan Hammack. In Loving Memory of Rylan Evan Hammack, 14 of Lawrence, Kansas. Rylan was born in Overland Park, Kansas on October 25, 2011, to Kayla Lozano. He passed away in Springfield, South Dakota on July 14, 2026- following a tragic accident.

Rylan is survived by his grandparents, Becky Ulmer and Richard Edwards, who raised Rylan. Kayla Lozano, mom- Nishko Farve, Kaylani Farve, sister and Uncle Dakota Ulmer- who was more like a big brother to Rylan. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and his Corpus Christi Family who meant a great deal to him.

Rylan loved to spend time with family and friends- gaming, bowling, soccer, band, and collecting rocks and gems.

Rylan attended Corpus Christi Catholic School- where his faith in God flourished. He was so inquisitive and graduated 8th grade in May. He attended Summer School at Hayden Catholic High School in Topeka, where he was to start high school this fall.

Rylan wanted to be a therapist specializing in teen suicide-therefor the family suggest any donations to go to suicide prevention in honor of him.

Mass service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2026, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence. Lunch will then be served so we can celebrate Rylan- to be followed by burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
