Shaterika “Nicky” Doleman

Funeral Services for Shaterika Nicole “Nicky” Doleman, 16, Lawrence, KS, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 29, 2013 at the First Regular Missionary Baptist Church in Lawrence, KS. A private family burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence. She died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO.
Nicky was born September 11, 1997 in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of Charolette Doleman.
She was a student at Free State High School in Lawrence.
Survivors include her biological mother, Charolette Doleman, her adoptive mother/grandmother, Vera Doleman, of Lawrence, three brothers, Tavion Doleman, Jamareon Doleman, Joe Doleman (uncle) all of Lawrence; two other brothers and two sisters outside Lawrence; paternal grandmother, Mary Samuel, of Lawrence, great grandparents, Aaron, Jr. & Marie Doleman, of Lawrence and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Gloster Turner, great, great Aunt Mary Haynes and great uncle Micheal Doleman.
The family will greet friends from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday, November 29, 2013 at the church.
The family suggests memorials in her name to the Children’s Mercy Hospital and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
