Shirley Pozdro

Memorial service for Shirley Allison Pozdro, 77, Lawrence, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2009, at First Presbyterian Church.  She died Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 10, 1932, in El Reno, OK, the daughter of Lawrence A. and Daisy Bernice (Roach) Winans.

Mrs. Pozdro was a homemaker.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

She married Dr. John Walter Pozdro on June 12, 1954, in Oklahoma City, OK.  He preceded her in death on January 1, 2009.

Survivors include a son, John Winans Pozdro and wife, Karen, Austin, TX; a daughter, Nancy Thellman and husband, Scott, Lawrence, KS; grandchildren, Hannah Pozdro, Scotty, Katy and Connor Thellman, Lawrence.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to First Presbyterian Church or Lawrence Parkinson Support Group and sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
