Suvit Boyd, born on November 11, 1964, in Bangkok, Thailand, unexpectedly passed away on April 26, 2024. He was a devoted husband, loving father of three, and a respected engineer. Suvit’s journey in life was one marked by love, dedication, and a passion for exploration. He was kind, polite, honest, curious, and loyal.

Suvit’s career as a Professional Engineer was a testament to his intellect and unwavering commitment to excellence. His contributions to the field of engineering and project management left a lasting impact, inspiring colleagues and peers alike. He was dedicated to the General Services Administration for over 25 years.

Suvit’s greatest joy was found in the love he shared with his family. He was a committed husband, cherishing every moment spent with his wife. As a father, Suvit was a pillar of strength, teaching and guiding his children with wisdom, kindness, and support.

He had a gift for bringing people together and fostering meaningful connections. He was a natural storyteller who could fill a room with his lively charisma. He met challenges and coped with problems very well. When confronted with obstacles, he approached them with a calm and composed demeanor, demonstrating an admirable ability to navigate through difficult times.

Suvit found joy in traveling to new places, experiencing different cultures, learning about history, and creating memories with his loved ones along the way. He embraced a multitude of hobbies and interests that brought him joy, such as fishing and working on cars. He had a passion for photography, collecting hummingbirds, and enjoyed grilling and family dinners. He was a sports enthusiast and prioritized staying updated on world events through the news.

Suvit is survived by his mother, Boopha, stepfather, Joe, loving wife, Jackie, his three cherished children, two sons Dr. Thaius (Courtney) and Siam, and daughter, Jasmine, his brothers Somport (Mireya), and Joe III, and a wide circle of family and friends who will forever hold him dear in their hearts. He is now reunited with his father, Somchai, and sister, Susan, and other loved ones who have gone before him.

Suvit Boyd leaves behind a legacy of inspiration. His memory will continue to shine brightly, serving as a beacon of light for generations to come. May his memory be a gift to all and a reminder to always be humble and kind.

Suvit’s Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, May 11th, with visitation beginning at 12:00pm, followed by a program in remembrance of Suvit at 1:00pm at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W 13th St, Lawrence, KS 66044
