Sylvia Wagner

Graveside inurnment for Sylvia M. Wagner, 86, Lawrence will be held at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery.  She died May 2, 2013 at Brandon Woods.

She was born on February 24, 1927 in Chicago, IL the daughter of John and Marie (Wollert) Schmidt.

She was a housewife and bank teller.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed needlepoint.

She married Duane Wagner on November 17, 1946 in Ellinwood, KS.  He preceded her in death on August 13, 1991.

Survivors include, three sons, Steven D. Wagner, and wife, Elaine, Denver, CO, Robert S. Wagner, Wilson, WY, David D. Wagner, and wife, Ann Weber, Lawrence, KS; grandchildren, Nicholas, Patrick, Paige, Casey Wagner and Cody, Elle Weber.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Tharp.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to Lawrence Salvation Army and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
