Thomas Earle Krambeer

There is a lot more popcorn in heaven since the passing of Thomas Earle Krambeer, age 84, on April 4, 2026. Tom loved his popcorn and his family most of all. His commitment to his family is the biggest legacy he leaves behind. His wife, Darla Diederich Krambeer will always remember the red headed, freckle faced boy who stole her heart when she was just a teenage girl. He was an Iowa farm boy who joined the U.S. Navy in 1961. He spent the next five years as a submarine sailor. Tom and Darla were married in 1964, and they have 3 children, Craig Krambeer (Laurie Anne), Karlawayne Williams (Allen) and Kevin Krambeer (Michelle). They moved to Lawrence in 1966, and he spent the majority of his career as a construction superintendent for Morgan Concrete Services. Tom and Darla later divorced, he married Teresa Fraser in 1977 and they had a daughter, Nicole Krambeer (Rick). He and Teresa later divorced and 21 years ago Tom and Darla “found” their love for each other again, and they remarried in 2005. His four children, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and his wife, were the center of his life and he was devoted to them. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren, he is survived by four brothers and one sister. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 18th at 10:30am at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence, Kansas.
