Timothy Charles Segraves

A memorial service for Timothy Charles Segraves, 48 of Lawrence, KS will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, January 9, 2026, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.

After a valiant battle with a rare type of cancer, Tim passed away December 23, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family. Tim was born December 22, 1977, in Great Bend, KS, the son of Gerald David and Clara Noreen (Wonsetler) Segraves.

Tim graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering from KU in 2001. Tim married Erica Schaapveld on June 9, 2007, in Boulder, CO.

Tim is survived by his wife Erica and daughter, Josephine. Tim is also survived by his parents, siblings, Kelly (Jay) Miller, Todd Segraves, Jennifer Segraves, Jamie (Jason) Blankenship, Austin (Berenice) Applegate, Logan Applegate, and Kaitlyn (Clay) Myers.

If you knew Tim even for five minutes, the words that would come to your mind would be genuine, caring, kind, and amazing. He was an ultra-athlete, gardener, and lover of any outdoor activity. We are all thankful for the time we had with him and the words we were able to share personally with him to say goodbye to such an outstanding person. He will be missed greatly by family and friends and always remembered as a wonderful father, husband, brother, and friend.
